Import/Insert Word doc to Powerpoint

Hello out there and good evening! I'm not sure if this can be done, but, here
it goes. I have an existing powerpoint presentation that I needs a slide
replaced. Simple enough, I know, but... The slide created is currently a
scanned (crooked) word doc as a pic. I would like to directly import the word
doc that the scanned image would be repalced with the actual doc so that it
looks tremendously more professional and polished. Suggestions or questions?
I appreciate your help!

You have several options:

1) Export the scanned image, fixed the crookedness in an image editor,
reinsert

2) Recapture the Word document using direct print to electronic file (I use
SnagIt for this, great stuff), insert the new image file

3) Insert the document directly. There are two ways to do this:
1. Copy the file in explorer and paste onto a slide
2. Insert => Object => Create from file => Browse => OK

A few notes about this:
1. It does not bring the "paper" just the text.
2. It will only display the first page unless you double click on it
thereby opening the file in Word

Renee,
The best thing to do would be to use an action button that brings you to
Word and shows the document while in presentation mode.
Insert an action button using the drawing toolbar, click on AutoShapes -
action buttons - choose one - draw on your slide. In the hyperlink to
section, click on the listarrow and choose other file, browse and select
your Word document, hit OK. During the slideshow you can click on it, Word
will start and the document shown.

Second possibility, go to Insert - object - choose radio button from file -
browse - select the Word document - OK out.
You will be presented with the first page of the document.

You could also do this, in Word set the zoom to something like 70 %, go to
View - choose full screen , you will be presented with the first page of the
document without any toolbars just the text, hit prt screen, paste it in
PowerPoint.

Don't know if this will come close to what you are after, but maybe other
people will have better ideas.
