Images not displaying correctly in IE 6.0

I'm running IE 6.0.2800 on XP and the images are not
displaying correctly in the browser. They look dithered as
if they are not sized correctly. The problem only occurs
in IE. IF I use the Mozilla browser to view the same page
the images display fine. If I download the images from the
web page using IE and then view them in Windows Explorer
(using the film strip option) they look fine. The text
displays fine.

The problem occurs on any website so I assume the images
are fine but it's the browser that is somehow having
trouble displaying the images.

ANybody have any suggestions?

Look under tools/internet options. In the advanced tab,
check the settings for "enable automatic image resizing"
and "smart image dithering". Depending on how these are
set, either of these could affect your image display.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had tried various
combinations of those with no luck. I did another test by
comapring the same pages in Windows Explorer and Internet
Explorer. In Win Explorer everything looks fine. In IE
it's screwy. I think I'll just make Mozilla my default
browser.
