Images in IE

When viewing images in IE within an HTML document, sometimes they display
with strange white blocks and spots on them. However, when viewed
separately, they load perfectly fine. They also print or load in other
browsers without problem, and save from any browser (including IE) without
the white patches.

For reference, here is a picture within a MSN Space photo album:

How can I fix this?

Have you tried unchecking 'Smart Image Dithering' (under Multimedia) in
Tools>>Options>>Advanced?

Yep, it was unchecked. (And there was no change from deselected to
selected...)

But thank you.

Can I inject a little humor here? Have you removed the white-out from the
screen? So sorry about that one!
