I'm ready to throw it out the window!

My hard drive runs and runs and runs and... whenever I try
to access a file, a web page etc. If I reboot my computer
to try to open memory space it takes 20 minutes. Just to
get to this website it took 10 minutes. I am ready to go
out and buy another computer. Why does it always take
forever for me to get anywhere with my computer. I have a
compaq presario 5000 series.

How much memory do you have? How much free disk space do you have? Have
you defragmented it recently? What programs are running at startup? Have
you performed a recent scan of your system with spyware removal programs?
(Adaware & Spybot) Have you scanned for viruses with an up to date virus
file?
