Iexplorer has caused an error in kernel32.dll

I have WinMe and when I tried to access the web yesterday
I got the error "Iexplorer has caused an error in
kernel32.dll. Iexplore will now close." I have IE 6.0.
The kernel file version is 4.90.0.3000. How can I fix
this problem?
