Every time I try to play a game online I get a message when the game window
tries to load. Iexplore.exe (0x0334c512) refrenced memory 0x00000000 the
memory could not be read.

How can I fix it?

Download MULTI_AV.EXE from the URL --
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/Multi_AV.exe

To use this utility, perform the following...
Execute; Multi_AV.exe { Note: You must use the default folder C:\AV-CLS }
Choose; Unzip
Choose; Close

Execute; C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT
{ or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS }

NOTE: You may have to disable your software FireWall or allow WGET.EXE to go through your
FireWall to allow it to download the needed AV vendor related files.

C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT -- { or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS}
This will bring up the initial menu of choices and should be executed in Normal Mode.
This way all the components can be downloaded from each AV vendor's web site.
The choices are; Sophos, Trend, McAfee, Kaspersky, Exit this menu and Reboot the PC.

You can choose to go to each menu item and just download the needed files or you can
download the files and perform a scan in Normal Mode. Once you have downloaded the files
needed for each scanner you want to use, you should reboot the PC into Safe Mode [F8 key
during boot] and re-run the menu again and choose which scanner you want to run in Safe
Mode. It is suggested to run the scanners in both Safe Mode and Normal Mode.

When the menu is displayed hitting 'H' or 'h' will bring up a more comprehensive PDF help
file.

I downloaded all the files. Now I am not sure what exactly I am doing in the
safe mode. I have 3 options Safe mode with networking, safe mode with command
prompt, and last known good configuration. Which one do I use?

If you are not sure, just plain Safe Mode.

"Safe Mode with Command Prompt" can be used but you would have to have first downloaded the
signatures files for; sophos, Mcafee and/or Kaspersky in Normal Mode and then you would
have to run the AV vendor associated batch files at the Command Prompt.

C:\AV-CLS\DOSCLEAN.BAT <---- Mcafee
C:\AV-CLS\KAVCLEAN.BAT <---- Kaspersky
C:\AV-CLS\SOFCLEAN.BAT <---- Sophos

| ok I downloaded and ran all the files and my computer is still messed up. Now
| what?

Were any viruses found ?

Found or not it just indicates the IE6 problem is virus related. I don't have a solution to
fix IE6 except if you are using WinXP SP1. Then I suggest updating to WinXP SP2. This will
install IE6 SP2 and hopefully, fix your problem.

Before updating to WinXP SP2 or if you are already at SP2 level, I suggest....

Please download, install and update the following software...

Ad-aware SE v1.06
http://www.lavasoft.de/
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

SpyBot Search and Destroy v1.4
http://security.kolla.de/

After the software is updated, I suggest scanning the system in Safe Mode.

I also suggest downloading, installing and updating BHODemon for any Browser Helper Objects
that may be on the PC.

| I just recently downloaded sp2. I thought that would fix the problem but it
| didn't.

I think you need to take this problem to an IE6 specific News Group.

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser

| I can't those page links to work.

The following URL will take your default News Client (Probably Outlook Express) to the the
appropriate News Group.

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser

The following URL will take your default Web Browser to the the appropriate News Group. If
IE doesn't work, I suggest learning how to use a News Client to access News Groups.
