IEEE1394 / Ethernet conflict

We installed a 1394 card so that we could connect to a
digital video camera for use with editing software
(Pinnacle Studio DV version 8). However when this card is
installed, we lose the ethernet connection to our home
network and the internet. Disabling the IEEE 1394 device
under network adapters does not help nor any other efforts
we've made to restore the connection through
Troubleshooting, etc. Help!

Look in the Network Connections folder. Is there a network bridge
between the 1394 connection and the Ethernet connection? If so, right
click and delete the network bridge.

Following Steve Winograds suggestion, I looked in the
Network Connections folder but found no network bridge
between the 1394 connection and the Ethernet connection.
I still have the problem. Any other suggestions?

I am having the exact same issues with the Pinnacle
Studio DV version 7
The network connections are not bridged. I can ping via
coammand prompt my DSN server but the browser does not
see my router or the net. I have tried disabling tcip in
the 1394 adapter but still no luck... HELP!!!!
