ie6 in XP still locks up after using spybot....please help

running xp ie6 version 6.0.2800.1106. Had a few issues with
pop ups etc..cleaned them with spybot, did a virus scan
with latest NAV proggie..no probs there.
It's always the same, when i start ie explorer everything is
fine but it uses 100% of my CPU when ie6 is running, I know
this by using windows task bar - performance. I can
navigate no probs, it just uses all my CPU power, pewter gets
hot after a while. And I can't close ie6 after i have opened
it, the only way to close it is to use windows task bar
manager.
p.s i have reinstalled ie6.0.2800.1106 with no luck, I
personally think it's an ie engine prob...any ideas
would be great.

D/L adware 6 and give it a try. Use spybot to check what programs you have
running and programs that startup when you boot your computer. Have your
updated with the latest IE 6 patch?
