IE6 Crash - MSHTML.DLL seems to be problem

IE6 crashes every time one of my users is on the
internet, she's running IE6 SP1 with Win XP Pro SP1.
There's no official patch available however when I looked
in Microsoft's Knowledge Base I found that article #
811830 has similarities which I would be willing to
attempt at installing to repair this issue. However,
there is no download option for this patch. Does anyone
already have it or know where I can find it without
waiting for tech support to get back to me?

By the way - other things like helpctr.exe and Outlook
2000 both crash continuously and point to the MSHTML.DLL
as the root of their issues too.

Any help is appreciated!

IE Help>About>Update Versions> Is Q828750 listed here? What is?

If it's not, take the machine to Windows Update (AV app closed the entire
time) and install necessary updates (including but not limited to Q828750).

If Q828750 is listed, is either Yahoo Companion (installs automatically with
Yahoo Messenger) or Google Toolbar installed? Uninstall it.

If neither are installed, the problem is most likely being caused by
hijackware:

These days most of us are recommending HijackThis to identify and assist in
the removal of these bad guys. **Post your files to the Spyware Info forum
mentioned in the first URL above, not here.**

If you cannot access the page to download HijackThis, use this link:

If you find you need CoolWebSearch Shredder, use this link:
http://216.180.252.218/~spywareinfo.com/downloads/tools/cwshredder.zip
(Get a fresh copy of CWS Shredder before each use. It's updated
frequently.)

Update virus definitions and then run a full system scan. User should do
both daily from now on.

Thanks for your help. I checked over all this and found
that things seem to be up to date and running properly
however another site that I saw recommended running
regsvr32 mshtml.dll from the RUN line. This seemed to
solve the problem!!

Thanks a lot!

I'd still check the machine for hijackware. *Something* caused Mshtml.dll
to be unregistered.[/QUOTE]
