IE6 Child Window

My IE6 has sudenly started misbehaving. If I click on a link on a web page,
a new window opens (good so far) but it sits there forever with the address
line blank. If I type the address in then it finds the site OK. For
instance, when I click on new question in this forum I get a blank child
window but on my other PC (using it now) I get this window. Is there some
setting that controls the address coming across to the child ??
