IE Title Bar only has single character

Just upgraded my 98se laptop to XP Pro and everything's
great except that the title bar on IE 6 or when exploring
through My Computer only displays the first character of
what should be in the title bar.

I read an Knowledgebase article describing the same
behavior with NT and IE 5, which attributed the problem to
popup blockers, but that is not the case here.

Help?

As there are similar posts tonight in IE6 Browser newsgroup, we may be
seeing a new hijacker so check your system for "hijackware":

HijackThis (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) is the
preferred tool to use these days. It will help to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware. **Post your files to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.
