ie shuts down all the time

i was having problems with my computer last week with
internet explorer crashing everytime i tried to open a
folder or the browser....so i re-formated and installed
everything and got ie6 and now everytime i open the IE
browser it will shut down and bring up the send error
report to microsoft and says "Microsoft Internet Explorer
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience" i have also been having
problems with the aol browser doing the same thing only it
doesnt bring up the send report box....ive been getting
errors on aol instant messenger saying that "msvrb.dll has
created a page fault" ive ran ad-aware and some other
sites that have been posted and got rid of all the things
it said was on here and its still doing the same thing,
can anyone tell me whats goin on?

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.
