IE maximize screwed up

P

Peter

I had some Installation prompt come up but when I said No
something happened anyway. Now if i try to maximize IE
it drops the window 1/2 down the screen. I have run
antivirus and spybot search and destroy. The only things
coming up are 5 registry entries (DSO exploits) that I
have run fix on. The window still acts up. Any known
way to fix the window location of a maximized window?

Thank you.

Hi,
Try:
With only the affected window open (and the taskbar NOT set to autohide)
grab the top of the taskbar and pull it up to twice its normal height. Then
close the window, resize the taskbar, reopen the window.
Or
With only that window open, right click the taskbar and choose "tile
vertically" (horizontally should also work.)
Or (a registry edit)

Hope this helps,
