IE forms hanging for 5 seconds

Benjamin

When I reach a HTML form online, I can click on one field
fine, type stuff in or whatever. Then when I click outside
of the form, or click on another field, or whatever, the
browser window hangs and becomes unresponsive for about 5
seconds, then comes back as normal. This does actually
really slow me down. Any ideas??

USEFUL INFORMATION

Internet Explorer 6 with SP1
Recently had 2 worms found & removed on my PC
W32.OpaServ.Worm

Firstly, that page is only for IE 5, IE 5.01 and IE 5.5,
NOT my version, IE 6.

Secondly, I did what it said anyway and my problem remains.

Thirdly, at the end of that page you gave me the link to,
it says...
"Search the hard disk for the Pstore.log file. If the file
exists, there may be a problem with the ProtectedStorage
registry key."
I have indeed found a Pstore.log file. It is full of lines
the same as this one (except for the date and time)

09-19-2003 17:56:06 ServiceStart error! (rc=0)

I hope this gives you more information to help me.

Hi Benjamin,

You can still follow the procedure explained there. Before that, take a
backup of the registry key you deal with.
