IE crashing on startup

IE crashes everytime I try to start it. Computer vendor is
no help. Tried to reinstall, even set registry "install"
component value to 0 and reinstalled full version. Keeps
crashing on ntdll.dll and I don't know what to do next.
Would like to try to avoid slick and reloading of hard
drive if possible. Has anyone else had this problem? Any
suggestions? Error message is: "Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for
the inconvenience.". Erro-signature is: "AppName:
iexplore.exe, AppVer: 6.0.2600.0, ModName: ntdll.dll,
ModVer: 5.1.2600.114, Offset: 00019bdd.
