IE Classic Search/Search Assistant

The search side pane in IE 6.0 SP 2 will not launch links. In order to have
IE search side pane launch links I must right-click-new window in order for
it to work. I have attempted to change Internet Options to default.

I need to be pointed in the correct direction to resolve this annoying issue.

Which search provider are you using? Perhaps it doesn't support
the search sidebar?

Have you tried pressing Shift-Enter instead of right-click New Window?
