IE can't find Outlook

Guest

I just installed a new HDD & copied complete contents of old one using
utility that came with the HDD. I have Office installed so use Outlook (not
express) as default mail program; IE is setup to recognize Outlook as the
default.

Now when I use the "Read Mail" icon in IE I receive a message that Windows
cannot find Outlook; the path listed in the error message IS where Outlook
resides.

When I open Outlook directly it appears to be functioning fine. Anyone help??

Try
Open Internet Options, Programs tab
Select Microsoft Outlook for e-mail

I had already set Outlook as the default email program there. Other ideas?

Hi,

Maybe you should try installing Outlook over itself. By setting back an
image, some registry setting might have been lost.

Kind regards

To set Outlook as the default mail client,- Go to Start, Run - Type in the
following with quotation marks and press OK
"C:\program files\microsoft office\office\outlook.exe" /checkclient
