IE 6 SP1 quits caching after 30,200 files

After my Temporary Internet Files reaches about 30,200 IE
quits caching pages to disk. This is repeatable behavior.
My TIF currently consumes around 410 MB and the cache
allocation is 1 GB. The drive holding my TIF has still 36
GB free.

Anyone else experienced this behavior? It's mildly annoying
since a read a lot of pages from the disk cache. I have to
enter the TIF folder manually delete files periodically.

It's IE 6.0.2800.1160IS SP1, Q818529 patch installed,
Windows 2000 SP3

Your TIF is much too big. It's operating well if kept around 30-40MB.
