IE 6 Problem

HELP,

Pulling my hair out here. I am running windows 2000 and
IE 6. I am connected through a cable modem and am
connected to the internet. My outlook works Fine yet I
cannot get IE to go to any sites. It keeps telling me
that it "cannot find server or DNS error" I've changed my
LAN setting in the Internet Options to automatically
detect my settings and tried it without that checked
also. I have even tried reloading IE 6 But nothing
changes. I can't pull up any websites but I know I'm
connected. Anyone have any advice???

I know the connection works because I'm on another
computer now running through the same Cable.

MANY THANKS!!!!

You should check for spyware....
But here's a try:
Check to Winsock repair tools at the bottom of this page.
I suspect that this will cure your problem.
Let me know if it helps !
