IE 6 has disappeared!!!

Stan

Anyone had a problem where ie just disappears from the
computer? I updated my firewall software (ZoneAlarm) and
it seems to have wiped ie 6 from the computer!!! Ive tried
downloading the ie6 setup to regain the program, got the
"Software hasn't passed XP Logo Testing...." error, so
sorted the Hotfix that caused that problem, but the
download still stops at 84% installed!!! Getting really
frustrated cos goin round in circles trying to deal with
errors!!!! HEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!!
Thanks ;)

When you say, IE disappears, does it close?

If so check these.

I.E. closes, 3 possible reasons.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the malware is.

The executable for IE is iexplore.exe and not iexploreR.exe

If you can find a reference to iexploreR.exe on your computer it means that
you have been hacked by a parasite.

Follow the instructions below.
