IE 6 blocking downloads

G

Guest

I have several PCs running XP and W2k with IE6. We access a vendors website
to download data from a database which can be saved to a file or opened
directly into Excel. On two of the PCs this works fine, on the other three,
we get just the header record of the file.

Does anyone know of any setting in IE that would block data from downloading
like this?

Hi xcoach :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

It's also worth checking if you have a orphaned download handler entry in
the registry which is causing the behavior. Disable or uninstall any
download managers if you've installed any. To verify if there are any
remnant download hooks in the system, try the advice here:

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
