Icons all the same color

Windows XP. Suddenly all my contacts icons have gone to one color, green as
if online instead of red when off line. Anyone run into this problem?
Anyone found a solution. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows
Messenger. I've rolled the computer back a few days, etc. I then installed
MSN Messenger and the icons there all appear as green as well. I am
stumped.

I have found the answer to my question. I rolled back the driver for the
display adapter (NVIDIA) as a new driver was downloaded yesterday from
Microsoft Windows Update. Messenger did not like it at all. It's gone.

I'm having the same problem (Messenger 6.0602 running in XP
Pro on a 700MHz Athlon), and have found that you and I are
not the only ones (see message of 11/17/03, above, from
"Sjeik Spier" <[email protected]>).

I've tried the usual uninstall/reinstall procedures without
success.

Hi Kate,

Have you updated your video drivers recently (from WindowsUpdate)? If so, what you're seeing
is a bug within those drivers, to correct this, you just need to "roll back" the drivers you
currently have installed. To do so, click Start, then Run, type "devmgmt.msc", click OK,
then right-click your video card, choose Properties, then Driver tab, and choose Roll Back
Driver to go back to the previous version.
