I use an IMAP account - when I delete messages they do not go int.

In a previous posting, it was mentioned that IMAP accounts do not send
deleted items to the Deleted Items folder. Thus, my only option is to delete
and then purge, which disables me from ever retrieving those messages again.

A friend of mine has an IMAP account and her deleted messages do go into her
Deleted Items folder - are we sure there's not some setting to change? I
think she may not have Outlook 2003, so maybe this a software version issue?

She doesn't have Outlook. That's the difference.
