How do you get outlookemails to an IMAP "deleted messages" folder when
you hit the delete button? I have two IMAP accounts and when I hit
delete button or press the delete key it simply does the normal strike
through but does not move anything, and when I purge it deletes it
permanently off the server. How can I get it to move items that I
"delete" to the deleted messages folder?

If it matters, one of the accounts is GMAIL and the other is a
university IMAP account.

That's normal IMAP behaviour. There's nothing you can do about it AFAIK
apart from dragging the messages to the Deleted Items but that will just
give you a strike-through on the original message!
