I screwed it up !

I recently uninstalled and reinstalled some video related software .... up
until then Movie Maker was doing fine. (v2.1) Now I am having problems with
it. I wanted to simply re-install it, but that doesn't appear to be an
option. Then I thought I could just download it but the website doesn't seem
to give me That option either. (I found the `page' which touts the v2.1
download, but I can't figure out where the Heck to Go to actually Download it
!)
Basic question is, how can I restore/reinstall/download or whatever in order
to resolve my mess ?
Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated greatly.

If you post a description of the exact issues
you are encountering with Movie Maker 2.1...
we may be able to offer some suggestions.

Beyond that.....

One thing to try would be a System Restore
to a time before the issue began.

System to a Previous State in Windows XP

If the restore fails..try it in Safe Mode:

Next...one possible way to reinstall Movie
Maker 2.1 is as follows:

===
The following steps previously offered by
Carlos, MCSE are supposed to reinstall
MM2.1.

1. Go to C:\Windows\inf
2. Right click on Moviemk.inf and click on Install
3. When it asks for your Windows XP cd put
it in and browse to the I386 folder. Click OK
===

Also you could download and reinstall SP2
which includes Movie Maker 2.1:

Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.

It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.

And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.
