hi guys/gals
im jay & i have a question that i hope one of you can
help me with my cousin has very stupidly gotten drunk last nite & decided to
put an administrator/user password on her p.c its running with (windows 2000)
so when she turns it on,it asks for a password so she can gain acess to her
desk top. but the thing is that she knows the word that she used but the p.c
wont reconize it & shes tried every different way of spelling it but to no
avail, it still wont let her in. is there anyway of getting round this
problem with out having to re-install the whole programme again??. i did
think of going to MS-Dos & doing " scan/reg; restore " to see if that will
work, what do you all think! it would be very much appreciated if you could
help me to help her. As i have vista home prem on my own p.c so all of the
help sections automatically come up with the help lists for that. im really
stuck now on how to help her.

Windows Key is an easy-to-use tool to gain access into any Windows system if a login password is lost:

If you have more time than money, you can try this free password reset
method. I've tested it on my Vista Basic.
-from a July 5 post:
Go to http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ . There you will find
zip files that will let you create boot floppy disks or bootable CDs
that will enable you to reset any system password on an NT class
operating system (Win2000, XP and Vista are all NT class operating system).
