FLAT SCREEN 15" IBM 9513 AW 1

I have a problem with my flat screen. 15" IBM 9513 AW 1
And I'm not sure if it's the backlight inverter or not.
When powering up the ON light is flashing and nothing comes on the
screen.
The last few weeks the screen was starting to flicker until warmed up.
If I take off the cable to the graphics card then the screen lights up
and up comes NO SIGNAL...
The system works fine with my other 19'' Princeton flat screen
Will be grateful for some advice as if weather to throw it or not

Sounds like the IC that does the power management by detecting
the sync signal status has gone crazy. Key clue is that it lights up
when the video is disconnected.
You might also try to check that the video cable is not damaged,
causing signal loss. Also, be sure (as much as possible) your system
is not setting up a strange power management situation depending on
its detection of the connected monitor (what happens if you start up
with the Princeton & hot plug the IBM on?).

Another option - given that the one that works is a 19", and
the "bad" one is a 15", might it be the case that you're trying to
use a video timing that's outside the range of the 15"?
