i dont want windows mail

hi I am new to vista and cant seem to get my emails from here to go viar
my aol email addy .I just dont want a windows email addy.for instance if i
want to send a picture from my files I want them to go via AOL how do i
achieve this please

Do you pay AOL for their service? If so, call their customer service,
they are obligated to help paying customers.
Apparently you are talking about AOL webmail. Vista has no mechanism
for setting any webmail as the default email service, so it is up to each webmail
provider to provide a workaround.

To send a picture using AOL e-mail compose a message and attach the picture.

You don't need a Hotmail or Live email address.
You can configure Windows Mail (or the newer Windows Live Mail) to access
your AOL email account...

If you wish to make the AOL webmail your default email program, I'm not sure
that's possible.

Email providers actually provide you with an email address. Like
Hotmail, AOL or your ISP.

Windows Mail is an email client, it is not an email provider.

Clients act like a mailman. They go to the post office (your email
provider) and get your mail and deliver it to your house (your computer).

So you DON'T have a Windows Mail email addy. Now it you want to
not use Windows Mail, go here and remove all acc'ts.
WM->Tools->Accounts.
Highlight the account - click remove.

Then you can continue to sign-in at the AOL website and send and
receive your emails there.
