Gary, well as I said I did use AOL's instructions via postmaster but windows
mail still
won't let me send any mail. I can receive all it wants though.
Just would be nice if "upgrading" to Vista worked seamlessly from XP.
As you know, most products won't work with Vista unless and until you have
a tech person help you and pay them for it, of course. I can't tell you how
much
I've spent "upgrading" my work software and hardware. Very very frustrating.
taking way too much time from my work day to figure out how to print or email
a single page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to help you, but I'm not sure what you mean by "send via AOL".
I send via AOL but use Windows Mail to do so, using AOL's instructions:
http://www.postmaster.aol.com/imap/express.html
I suspect you use AOL's browser program, which I've always
stayed away from. If you don't want to use Windows Mail at all, you
need to call AOL customer support and ask them how to make AOL's
program the default for sending mail.

Help! Just purchased new computer running Vista. AOL is fine but when I try
to send email from Quick books or a Word document it sends me to Windows Mail
which then won't let me send an email!!! I've entered my incoming and
outgoing server info as per AOL info and it still gives me an 60 sec. error.
Frankly I don't want to use Windows Mail, why can't I just send via AOL??????
