I can receive but not send email

I have just been hooked up to broadband and I am using Tiscali having
previously used it as a web-based email account.

I have set up outlook on my machine to receive my tiscali mails, which is
fine. The problem is that I can't send from outlook (I can still send when
using it as web-based).

I've followed the Microsoft help advice from the website. My Pop and SMTP
details are correct and I have ticked the authentication box. Now I am at a
loss as to what to do?

What happens then you try to send? Any errors? What version of Outlook?

If you're not getting Internet access through Tiscali, I suspect that your
broadband provider is blocking your ability to connect to Tiscali's outgoing
servers. The claim by ISPs is that they do this to reduce spam, but I
personally don't think it's worth it...
