Huge number of copies printed via remote desktop

I have a Windows 2000 server with latest Service Packs and Terminal server. Inermittently, different remote users with HP Deskjet 840 or HP Deskket 3820 send a print job of 1 page but the printer spits out 30-50 pages of the same page. Applications used have been Word and Outlook. Watching their print queue on remote system shows the number of pages to print to be incorrect(too many) but checking print options within the applications, shows it is set to print only 1 copy. Any clues where to look?

Have you tried replacing the driver on the terminal server
with a driver from the Windows 2000 disks? Or better yet,
have you tried forcing the terminal server (by editing th
ntprint.inf file) to use a different printer driver for
your client's printer? You might find that with a new
driver the printer won't do this anymore.
