html files deleted when sub-folder deleted

I have a web page that was saved from IE (save as: web page complete). I need
to post it somewhere that doesn't allow subfolders for images. So, I edited
the HTML file and changed the file location of all the images, then moved the
images up to the same level as the html file. However, when I deleted the old
sub-folder, it deleted the html file. How do I stop this behavior?

- Click "My Computer" / Tools / Folder Options / View
- Locate the item "Managing pairs of Web Pages"
- Place a tick mark into the line "Manage them individually"
