Hello,
Have a few XP SP2 boxes with the autoupdates and virus checking turned
off for good reasons <no really>.

However each of them does display a nag bubble saying Your computer may
be at risk.

How can I turn this off, please?

TIA

Hi

Control Panel>Security Center - then click on 'Change the way Security
Center alerts me'.
