How to stop replication in briefcase ?

S

Steven Walton

Can anyone tell me how to stop a briefcase trying to replicate Access 2000
databases? I would like the briefcase simply to make a copy of the Access
file, in the same way it copies any other file. I never want the briefcase
to replicate the database, so I do not mind disabling the feature
permanently.

Thanks for any help given.

If I remember correctly, there is an option for this in the Office setup
program (this may be dependent on your Office version as to where it is
located). I just checked for Office 2003 and it is available under the
options for Access and is called Database Replication. The explanation says
this is for the briefcase. You have to check the box "Choose advanced
customization of applications" to get the options. In earlier versions, the
checkbox didn't exist, you were just always shown the options.
