How to stop IE from launching when connecting via dialup

I have looked in Internet options, Netzero's setup, I can't find where
to stop IE from launching itself when it detects a dialup connection.

I use FF.

What about Internet Options-Connection tab.
Isn't "Never dial a connection" what you want?

Thank you for responding Alan. Those settings look like they pertain to
proxy servers.

I am one of those holdouts that actually uses dialup. So when the
dialup connection is established, IE automatically launches itself. I
prefer FF, so I keep having to close IE. This is not such a big deal
except that IE seems to hog the processor whilst launching, so I have
to sit there and wait until it has completed launching (takes a minute
or so) to close it.

It's not the end of the world, just annoying as heck. I was just hoping
to find a way to make IE stop autolaunching.

No, they are nothing to do with proxy settings.
You use the Settings button for proxy settings.
The three radio buttons are for dialup.
