How to restore menus, toolbars in MS Word 2000 document

I defragged my system but did not finish the long process. Upon opening an MS
Word 2000 document, I noticed that all the menus, tool bars and other info
are missing. I tried restoring with Compac QuickRestore (Typical) but this
did not work. I also tried re-installing Word, still no positive result. How,
now, can I restore and use such important tools. Thanks.
