how to print to a local printer from a MS-DOS-Based program

I have an Epson miniprinter (tm-u200p) connected to the
parallel port and i´m using a program based on MS-DOS, I
tried downloading the printer driver for windows xp and i
still cannot print, what should i do?

You might want to check the printer name, dos based programs may night print
to a printer with a name more than eight characters long. Also you might
have to capture a printer port, can't remember if that is able to be done in
xp or not.
