How to open .wps files in wordperfect

I am having problems with the windows XP which has
wordperfect accepting my .wps files. I bought a new pc
that has windows XP home edition installed. I downloaded
all my files from the old pc (which had windows 98
installed) to my new pc. My files in the windows 98
are .wps extension and they will not be recognized by
wordperfect, so I can't open any of my files. They are
business files and I'm not real happy. I have been
searching every possible place for help. I have gone to
corel help and support, to wordperfect help and support,
to hp help and support. I still don't have this simple
problem fixed yet. Help Penny

Try this, go to www.google.com, click the groups tab over the search box,
type WordPerfect and MS Works, you are bound to get a lot of hits. You will
also see the name of the Corel group, click the link and post your own
question. If you were trying to get WordPerfect documents to open in Works,
we might be able to help but you have a WordPerfect issue. If their help
and tech support can't resolve it, you might be able to find an answer on
the Corel boards and the above mentioned Google will give you that access.
