Hello

Windows XP.
How to start and log off windows remote desktop and keep all applications
running on the remote desktop PC?
Now earlier started applications are running when I login but closed when I
log off.

Thanks!

Don't log off - just close the connection!

The two terms are Disconnect and Logoff.
If you logoff, its just like if you were there where the user account is
closed. All applications have to be closed too. Along with the RD
connection.

If you disconnect, you just lose the connection and when you reconnect,
you pick up where you left off. X in the upper right corner of RD
window, or if its maximized, move the cursor to the top and you get a
small pulldown with an X in it. Both are Disconnect.

Hi,

Thanks.

Is it correct to open application on the remote from console, when at home
and leave these running when leaving, without logging off?

Next to connect to this remote PC over Office network with RD, as a result
remote logs user off and remote screen changes to Log in screen.

Next to close remote desktop from upper right corner x, with warning that
all applications stay running.

Next to log in again from console, when back in home.

Andy finally, any combiantion and sequence of above actions, should it be
normal for XP?
