How to Cascade or Tile all windows

I recall there being a mechanism that would allow one to tile or cascade
windows for all applications, including those minimized on the task bar. It
seems like it was the the context menu for the desktop but I cannot find it
there. Does such a command/menu choice exist or it is a remnant of Win95 or
3.1 that I'm thinking about?

My need for this is an attempt to resolve a problem I have with Remote
Desktop when the running sessions are being served up by my desktop machine
with a large (30") monitor. When accessing from a laptop, for example, I
find that many windows "remember" their position which is off screen on the
machine with the remote client and I cannot get them back.

Right-click the Taskbar and there are three related options, "Cascade
Windows", "Tile Vertically", "Tile Horizontally".

Thanks for this answer:

This is really close to perfect. Is there any way to pick up all windows,
even minimized ones? Is there a "Restore All" command tucked away somewhere?

Windows key + M minimizes all open windows
Windows key + Shift + M Restores all windows

Windows key + D minimizes/opens all windows

The taskbar right-click menu also shows "undo minimize all" when
appropriate.

Most excellent! I love keyboard shortcuts, but I couldn't find these on any
of the lists I bookmarked. Thanks for the pointers. You guys really are
most valuable!
