Maybe by turning on the QuickLaunch Bar?
Have you tried that yet?

It is always in the QuickLaunch Bar by default.
After turning it on, unlock the Taskbar, and right-click somewhere in the
TOP portion of the Taskbar, and choose View from the popup menu, then choose
to display large icons.

Once this is done, lock the Taskbar. The Flip-3d icon will be very evident
to you: it looks like it does on the Display (only smaller).

To move back and forth in Flip-3d, use these keys:
Right Arrow, Down Arrow will move you forward in the stack
Left Arrow, Up Arrow will move you backward in the stack.
Clicking on any one window displayed in the stack will bring it to the front
as the current open window.
Clicking on the Desktop representation will show the Desktop.
Clicking on the Flip-3d icon will bring the first window displayed in the
stack as the current window. Clicking on the Flip-3d icon toggles between
the first window in the stack and the current open window.

The Flip-3d stack works like a Rolodex without a beginning or end.

Wow! Thanks Donald. I didn't realize that 'Switch between Windows' icon was
the 3D flip until you posted it!

I absolutely detest you.

Like an idiot I have been doing the three fingered flip and you come along
with something as simple as a click.

Seriously, that was a "great" solution posted. I love the "flip" feature and
could not believe the ackward way it had to be done (the way I was doing it).
I am going to blame my 60 year eyes for not seeing the "switch window" icon.

Again, many, many thanks.

Donald has steered you the right way for the Flip3D icon. Just wanted to
add about the keyboard shortcut.

You're throwing in an extra key. While more gymnastic all that's needed is
Windows key+ Tab. From there you can press Tab repeatedly (while still
holding the Windows key) to cycle through the screens or use the arrows as
Daniel has already described.

Hi!

To move back and forth in Flip-3d mode, you can use also the wheel button of
your mouse.

So, you never have to use your keyboard.

Have a nice day!

I understand, friend: my 62 year old eyes aren't any better than yours. It
used to be that a large 40" LCD TV was a great break from wearing my glasses
to watch TV. Now I can't even see a large screen WITH my glasses.

But it's great to now be among the Senior Citizens. We get better breaks
than most. And we don't have to learn all we had to learn while we were
younger. Plus the polite youngsters give us their seats in the Bus. That
sure is nice for these old legs of mine.

Thanks, Randor. I didn't know about that one. I guess we always have
something new to learn.

Hi Donald!

You are welcome.

You are right, we always have something new to learn, particularly
concerning technology.
Technology is continuously changing and it is very pleasant.

Bonne journée

You are putting too much into it...You don't have to press Ctrl at
all....You only need to us the Windows key and the tab key!

Hi. I bought my laptop 2 days ago. Day 1 the switch between windows icon
was a default option in the quick launch. Sadly today it is gone. Show
desktop icon is still there so I know quick launch is working.

Do you know how to restore the switch between windows icon?

Thanks,

Leslie

There are a couple of ways you can do this. The first one is technical and
the second option just involves copying a file.

1. Right click an empty spot on the Desktop and select New/Shortcut. For the
Location of the item, Copy and Paste the following line:

C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe DwmApi #105

Click Next and name the shortcut "Switch Between Windows" and click Finish.

You can use the default icon for the shortcut or designate the default icon.
To get the default icon right click the shortcut and select
Properties/Change Icon Button.

Click the Browse Button and navigate to C:\Windows. Scroll down and select
Explorer.exe and click Open. The default icon is in the 3rd row, 5th from
the left. Select this icon and click OK. Click OK again and your done.

2. If this seems too complicated, there is a Switch Between Windows icon in
each user account on the system. Open Computer and navigate to
C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch.
In the Quick Launch folder, you will see a shortcut for Switch Between
Windows, right click this shortcut and select Copy. Go back to the Desktop
and Right Click/Paste. You can then drag the icon into the Quick Launch
Toolbar.
