How to enable Java?

Lars

Hi group,

I have manage a a web site where some pages need a login and
password. The login bit is a Java applet and the password
verification is a Javascript.

A friend who is using Win XP and IE 6.0 fails to enter.
Personally I have no problems with it using IE 5 or 5.5.

I have mailed her description on how to enable Java in IE
byt she says she could not find it. Do you have a good
explanation for it?

She may have a combo where Microsoft is banned by a lawsuit won by Sun
to provide a Java VM (I think that's why Microsoft is trying to push
their .Net solution). She can get a Java VM from Sun
(http://java.sun.com).

A Windows Update probably removed it. Have her check here:
