How to disable Dr. Watson?

O

I've followed the instructions where you delete
HKLM\software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug, but dwwin.exe
still keeps popping up when an error occurs. I can't deleted dwwin.exe, it's
a protected file and even if I delete it from dllcache, it keeps coming. How
can I disable Dr. Watson?

Aha. I renamed my install directory that had the i386 folder, deleted
dwwin.exe from dllcache and system32. It complained about needing windows
CD, I cancelled, and now I'm finally rid of dwwin!

Is there a better way? I have some automated processes that crash sometimes,
and I can't have them just sit there with the dr watson dialog. I need them
just silently die, and manually removing dwwin does the trick. It's a hack,
is there a better way to do this?

Start | Run <type in> DRWTSN32 <enter> disable (unselect) everything.

I did that. It still popped up when a program crashed :(

Mine's diabled and I never get any alerts, then again I don't get any
crashes at least the application error area is clear.

One other thing you can do but drwtsn32 should of disabled them is:

Right click on "my computer" properties, startup settings unselect
everything in the system failure area there and none for a debug list.

Forget it. That advice was already given in this thread, hidden between
some full quotes.

The advice didn't work. I had to disable SFC and manually delete dwwin.exe
to stop it from happening.
