How to Demote Domain Controller

N

Naidu

I am running Windows 2000 server and it is currently
Domain controller. I dont want this to act as Domain
controller any more. There are no clients with this
server. It is a stand alone PC running Windows 2000.

If it is the only dc in the domain, and you're wanting to basically "do
away" with the domain, you can demote it with dcpromo choosing "last dc in
the domain".
When it finishes, it will reboot and just be a standalone server in a
workgroup.
