how to change extension on a file name eg .htm to .html? with Fro.

I am using FrontPage to create a website for my mother inlaw. She had another
programmer come in and do some work on her website for her while I had moved
away. He saved/named the file with the .html extension that is overwriting
the files that i have saved with the .htm extension. The problem is that I
can't find the file that he saved/named in FrontPage. There are no files with
the .html extension. That I can see. Anyone have any ideas what I can do/look
for. Thank for any help.

When you publish to a server, if the server needs the Home page to be named index.html FrontPage
will automatically rename it.
If this is the case and the home page on the server is named index.html simply open the local copy
and rename the home page to index.html and let FrontPage update the hyperlinks.
