How to change default view for attachments?

I have a user running Outlook 2003, and the default view
for attachments is Reading Layout. I know how to manually
change the view to Normal, but is there a general setting
to make all attachments viewable as Normal instead of
Reading Layout? I have searched the MS KB to no avail.

Are you talking about Word attachments? Tools | Options | General > clear
the "Allow starting in Reading layout" box.
