how to automatically sort mail into subfolders?

Hi

I seem to have managed to set up a subfolder from a yahoo group I am
subscribed to, and to set up a rule to sort according to a particular word
that appears in all the messages I am now deluged with in my inbox. In
outlook I was able to automatically sift these before they got to my inbox,
now it seems I have to apply the rule manually, ie tools, mail rules,
highlight rule, apply. Is there any way of setting it up so it does it for
me, automatically?

Thanks

So, are you saying the message rule you created isn't working?
Make sure the last part of the rule says "Stop processing more rules."

Make sure the rule is checked, add "Stop processing more rules" and move it
to the top.

HI Gary

The message I have created works but it only works if I do it each time it
has downloaded into the normal inbox, in other words I have to move
everything myself which takes about a couple of mins each time including
going back and being able to see what I actually want to see in my inbox!
What I want is a way of it doing this bit all by itself automatically as it
used to in outlook express. Also, I cannot see the 'stop processing more
rules' command - where is it?

Thanks susan

Rules will run automatically each time new incoming mail is received.
They won't work properly unless each rule is terminated with the action
"Stop processing more rules."
Go to Tools, Message Rules, Mail, select the rule and click Modify.
In section 2, "Select the actions..." scroll down, and third from the bottom
you'll see what you need to add.
