On a small network with WinXP-pro PC's, how can I share the "My Documents"
folder with just ONE other PC on the local network, which is behind a
firewall router, which assigns "local" IP addresses I think to each PC. I
wondered if an expert might could fill in the blanks and "?" below...
On my PC#1, right click My Documents > Sharing > [X] Share this folder on
network, then click "view firewall settings"...
On GENERAL tab click...
(o) On
[ ] Don't allow exceptions (uncheck to allow)
On EXCEPTIONS tab click...
[___?] File and Printer
[___?] Remote Assist
[___?] Remode desktop
[___?] UPnP Framework
[___?] Windows Messenger
Click "Add Port..."
Name: __________? what do I put here?
Port number: _________? how do I find this for PC#2?
(o?) TCP. Is this right or is it UDP?
Thanks,
George
