How does BCM links items

E

Evelyn

- A linked email from Inbox to BCM-contact/account is a copy of the original
email.
- When the Inbox-email will be deleted, the copy of this item remains with
contact/account it was linked to.
- When I remove the item from contact/account the email stays in the Inbox,
but the link (copy of the item) moves into the deleted folder.

Is this correct, how BCM works?

Nope. BCM does copy some fields from the email into its database, but
essentially it just links the BCM contact/account to the Outlook
email. If you delete the Outlook email, then BCM will open a form with
the fields it copied from the original email.

Removing a link between an email and a bcm contact, simply removes the
link and does not touch the email.

Note that when you delete an item in Outlook, it simply moves the item
to the Deleted Items folder, and BCM can still open it.
