How do I reinstall ODBC Drivers?

Running Photoshop Elements Organizer I began to get folloing message
[Microsoft]{ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default
driver found

This prevents opening the catalog and hence program will not run. Adobe says
ODBC drivers probably corrupt. Their fix is to uninstall SP2 and reinstall
Windows XP and SP2. This sounds pretty drastic. Is their another way to fix
ODBC drivers or is this the problem?
